Christopher Hansard:[ a space in time]

each of us

is

a space in time

a place in space

and a spark of mind

each of us is a space in time

a place in space

a noetic motion

in

a wave of vibration

each of a space in time, a place in space

a spark of mind

Christopher Hansard:[ listening to...]

what are you listening to?

do you know?

do you care?

is it out of habit or a quiet despair?

what are you listening to?

to voices in the background, to thoughts inside your head

to the clanging of memories or the unwritten future?

what are you listening to?

underneath and within all of this

there is another listening going on

a listening to the inner way

the beauty, the song

to the dreaming that unmakes dreams

and makes the world

to the sacred, the profane

the great and the mundane

what are you listening to?

‘What’s that?’ you say..’what should I listen to?’

listen to the listener within

and you will

be

listened too

Christopher Hansard:[ silence in the noise]

NOISE

dwells

in a vast

canopy of silence

without silence there can be no noise

beneath the canopy of silence in which noise, din, clamour, raucousness and confusion jostle

beneath this canopy

is the origin of silence

your inner most nature

the essential you

Christopher Hansard:[ a leaf]

a leaf

is blown by a cold wind

a leaf is tossed by a  summer breeze

like leaves so people

feel tossed

by time and circumstance

yet even the strongest wind must

cease and lose its murmuring

the leaf in the gale swirling

will always come to rest

Christopher Hansard:[ embrace]

can you recall the breeze and the rain drop,

the sunlight and the moonshine

that fell upon you

every day of every year that has passed?

can you recall the heart ache and the heart break

the grief and joy, the monotony and times of absorbed attention?

can you embrace all these as the same

and in that embrace

fall into

the experience

of becoming human,

…being…

Christopher Hansard:[ Season]

This is the coming season

where faith and reason collide

where lonely hearts spill out on to the streets and howl

where crucifixtion kits are sold in every home improvement store

and in the form of something that you really need

in the quietness of gaps that emerge due to crowds

a miracle of rebirth dwells

a season to be jolly

not in things or trinkets

or bright lights or ginger biscuits

but in

the gaps that emerge due to crowds

spatial awakening

look and see

if you want a miracle

be the one you are

Christopher Hansard:[ Meaning]

the drama of a life spent

in the search for meaning

is the same as that spent

in search of pleasure or for power

but when the time comes for life to expire

it is only meaning

that will carry you over

to a higher state

pleasure will send round and around again

and power will freeze you into static disbelief

as your ego becomes entrenched in fantasy

meaning searches for itself throughout our lifes

and dwells within the universe

there are two kinds of meaning

one, that you give to things and sense in things and people

the other, dwells inherently beneath everything

and if you have courage you can see it

and embrace as a rare treasure

Christopher Hansard:[ Sky Clad]

Sky clad

the world

in blue

sky

clad

in

ancient

wonder

what people see as the future

is a memory

of once

what

was

made in the sky clad minds of our ancestors

in the world

before this world

in the earth

that gave birth to this earth

Christopher Hansard:[ Minuet on Credit]

1

Benjamin Franklin would have been refused credit

so would Plato too,

Socrates, Wagner and Schiller

Mahler, most certainly Mozart

unacceptable credit risks

St Francis having no real assets

would be dismissed

George Washington

Marqui de Sade or Rocheford,

Duke of Wellington, Napoleon

too,

Balachine, Gorky

Kafka

Credit

belongs

to

those

whose heaven is on earth

covered up by concrete

cemented by debt

2

anger is the most communicable disease

of the politically correct community

if you want to be truly authentic

know where your anger

arises from.

heal it and move on

know where your greed arises from

heal it and move on

know where your lust in all its forms arises from

heal it and move on

3

my time here is over

i have moved on

4

karma is intentional action, thought and deed

free yourself from ignorance to understand full intention

love all things

5

look into the noise of life

and hear the silence

the music

the light

the rushing of

the Way

Christopher Hansard:[The Human Path]

The breath within us has been breathed before by another

the water we have drunk has been drunk before

we are all that have been and are all that will be

we are and were the impulse

of humanity’s evolution

we are the memory and the speech

of every woman, man and child

we are every inscription on a grave and every word on the first birthday card

hopes and aspirations, are threads, in the global nation

we aspire, inspire, create, recreate, procreate

we are the human path
