Christopher Hansard:[ the world, the earth]
the world,the earth
two planets
one of nature
one of man
two worlds in collision
soon we will need to choose
in which world
we shall live
look into your senses
and follow them to their end
and there you will find your place
the world is a hunger
so is the earth
the world is glamour
the earth is love
make your choice
know your peace

Christopher Hansard:[ conciousness]
consciousness
dwells inherently
in all matter
light, sound, space, time, events
a life span
all of this is matter
and the perception of consciousness
is matter
matter is made of space, time, light, sound
and perception and constant change

Christopher Hansard:[ when the seas return]
when the seas return to where they used to be
as they must
and coastlines crumble under water and dust
the world will be a wetter place
but there will be less to eat
and more time to be

Christopher Hansard:[ fragile systems]
the world
is made of
fragile systems
we,the human species
are the most fragile system of all
for we are self-created
our own incandescent flare in the dark sky of life
gone,a trace of light,
fleeting
after we have gone
nature will be here
boiling up the formulae
for the next
fragile system
each system inherits the emotional and spiritual nature
of its predecessor
for life
needs fragile systems
in order to be indestructible

Christopher Hansard:[ seasons come]
Each of your moods and fleeting senses
are intimations of seasons
come and yet to be
for living in the human world
your breath is power
by which your identity moves and forms itself
constantly

Christopher Hansard:[ christmas present]
as the time of the slaughtered turkey is fast approaching
and the weeping christ forgot
give yourself the gift
of emotional resilience

Christopher Hansard:[ all is heard]
the quietest whisper, the rustling of wind in dry grass
the vindictive thought or word
all is heard
the garland of praise or loving words
all is heard

Christopher Hansard:[ as the rain falls]
as the rain falls
so do the
illusions held by the world
about its own nature
look into the way the rain falls
each rain drop
different from the other
in shape, texture, weight and sound
each drop
containing light

Christopher Hansard:[ Cultivating Hate]
Those who cultivate hate but feel far from harm
will discover the warm embrace, gentle at first,
of chill self-knowledge
those who cultivate love and forebearance
are given the gift of endurance
those who cultivate restraint discover the wild abandon of joy
those who cultivate love and mindfulness
become more human
those who cultivate their humanity
become more divinely human
those who cultivate a connection with their god
discover distance and wonder
those who cultivate simplicity
know the intricate workings of complication
those who cultivate letting things be as they are
discover the true nature of anonymity
cultivate all of these
and you become a
seed in the growth of the human tree
which will bear a ripe and juicy fruit
that will contain upon the first bite
all knowledge and understanding
and all lackof that

Christopher Hansard:[ an edwardian age revisited]
Britain is entering
an edwardian age revisted
expanding technology and financial crisis
the rushing of the archduke towards his Sarajevo waltz
a sad time lost in a dappled sunlit miasm
the world too is like this
and such times
new thinking brings light
and with light comes a brooding darkness
seeking conflict and confrontation because it can
be prepared for the unknown becoming the unexpected
