Christopher Hansard:[ breathe]
breathe and breathe again
trust and trust again
until your heart is free
of all its prisons
made by the mind and the world

Christopher Hansard:[ embrace]
can you recall the breeze and the rain drop,
the sunlight and the moonshine
that fell upon you
every day of every year that has passed?
can you recall the heart ache and the heart break
the grief and joy, the monotony and times of absorbed attention?
can you embrace all these as the same
and in that embrace
fall into
the experience
of becoming human,
…being…

Christopher Hansard:[ on the point of light]
on
the point of
light
that
glistens on the sea
or lake
there is a place
where you
can see
the
Way
unamed
as it should be

Christopher Hansard:[ Green]
The world clamours for a green identity
for a green industry
as if in the greeness the world, the natural process
can be placed in some control
Nature goes on regardless of humanity
the growing awareness of the green movement
elevates us all to a higher state
but does not make us masters of our environment
yet within this daily world
the problem of ‘green ink’
has yet to be understood

Christopher Hansard:[ cycle]
cycle
after
cycle
after
thought
action after action
intention not comprehended
yesterday and tomorrow
are the stuff of myth
cycle after cycle
unknowning
becomes an excuse for not knowing

Christopher Hansard:[ walking]
walking
one step
at a time
is a useful
way
to unravel
a pent up mind
if you walk just
one step at a time
the world and its universe
will also walk with you
one breath at a time

Christopher Hansard:[ the silent query]
there is in every minute a silent query
a question
that asks the biggest question of all
so big
that only each of us
can know
what the question is for ourselves

Christopher Hansard: [The non-moment]
Our brains pause for a microsecond to make sense of all that they process
in that pause
the world
that you inhabit
is made
the world of the daily you
that is why the moment is an illusion
as you learn to be
such pauses become fewer
and so the continual world
shows you its truth
and the illusory world
in the dream of the pause
fades
and you who who you truly
are, was, can and will be
and
Is
it is
a
glorious
non-moment

Christopher Hansard: [question]
there is a question to which we will not know the answer
until such time that our inner self finds it place
as manifest
in the
flow
of all things
in the
Is
and
the gap between now and then
past and present
dissolves

Christopher Hansard:[ White coat:part 2]
the man in the white coat
was more scared than
I
of telling me
that I had a few months left
death scares those who are caught by life but do not understand why
and so I saw them both
he who was to pass on by
and he who though he thought he studied medicine
was only just learning the nature of healing
and of mortality
the two are one and the same when healing takes place
and in that excahnge
he who was passing on by
gave the young and fearful man in the white coat
a glimpse of a larger life
the wind was warm that day
and the blue sky hung like a prayer
in an atheist’s coffee cup
