Christopher Hansard: [ Those Who Lead Us ]
whoever leads us
must first lead themselves
to the undestanding
of
impermanence
and the
transience
of whatever
we all hold
to be
common to
our
individual,
social
and
global
identity
identity
forged
from
a false premise
that things do not change
the only thing that does not change
is the force within us all
that knows
who and why we are
and can be

Christopher Hansard: [The Origin of the Species]
Language
borne from the issuance
of the searching for meaning
becomes entrenched
in the global mind set of us all
the disfigurement of human dignity
through the rage of others
reveals the larger illness
of the human race
that increasingly
we are becoming more disenfranchised
from the origins of our species
not the evolution of the physical species
but the origins of how our impulses and connections to the natural world
were first formed by the first rain drop
as it fell to the first upgrowing
sprouts of life
verdant,innocent but knowing

Christopher Hansard:[ Nature is a straight line ]
Soon the halls will be decked with holly
and peace and goodwill will be trumpeted
but in the backstreets and the warzones
in the broken hearts and the cold coffee
the messiah never came
the hungry and disempowered
the angry and the speechless
there were no good times
christmas
is not a global holiday in origin
but made so not by christianity
but by the expansionist economics of the 19th century
if you want to know the origins of the credit crunch
look to those times
when man thought that
nature is a straight line

Christopher Hansard:[ Space]
thriving upon outrage and rage
upon distress and redress
humanity has surged
to find meaning
the shoving of the ego
and the ranting
of dissatisfaction
have created
opportunities
for understanding
but at what value
or lasting meaning
when all the institutions of mankind
have crumbled
the mountains
will still be there
and the echoes
of the
‘once was’
will drain away
into the vast basin
of space

Christopher Hansard:[ Ancestors]
softly
runs
the
history
of humanity
through
the memories
of us all
ancestors
their needs
are calling
in your daily
struggle
with meaning
and desire

Christopher Hansard:[Time]
where does the time go?
the time from which you built your life
wove your memories
painted the walls of the rooms
that you call your self
where?
The time was never there at all
impressions fleeting
that is all
like wind on water in the darkest night
a hissing and movement
of elements
ask you Self
who are You?
and the question
will reverberate throughout
all things
until it shatters the
fabric of the self and its countless worlds
and free
discovers the that there are no questions
and no answers

Christopher Hansard:[Be Free]
People see the world through their beliefs and prejudice
thus they make the world they inhabit
belief and prejudice go together
they are intertwined
what people believe
they think is true
for everyone and the world
at large
the world is made of beliefs
and prejudice
if you want to believe
be free of belief and prejudice
if you want faith
give it up
let faith want you
grace and light
grace and light

Christopher Hansard:[ Minuet on Credit]
1
Benjamin Franklin would have been refused credit
so would Plato too,
Socrates, Wagner and Schiller
Mahler, most certainly Mozart
unacceptable credit risks
St Francis having no real assets
would be dismissed
George Washington
Marqui de Sade or Rocheford,
Duke of Wellington, Napoleon
too,
Balachine, Gorky
Kafka
Credit
belongs
to
those
whose heaven is on earth
covered up by concrete
cemented by debt
2
anger is the most communicable disease
of the politically correct community
if you want to be truly authentic
know where your anger
arises from.
heal it and move on
know where your greed arises from
heal it and move on
know where your lust in all its forms arises from
heal it and move on
3
my time here is over
i have moved on
4
karma is intentional action, thought and deed
free yourself from ignorance to understand full intention
love all things
5
look into the noise of life
and hear the silence
the music
the light
the rushing of
the Way

Christopher Hansard:[Only One ]
Look to the cycles of the seasons
and how they have changed
look to the cycles of your mental patterns
how have they changed?
global warming is part of the loss of connection
to the inner environment
the transience of the world
as carved by thought
and meaning
looking to meaning
you find many answers
yet there is
only
one
question

Christopher Hansard:[ People Value ]
can you stand in the wind
and hear the howling….
the calling out for meaning,
for the sense of ‘it’ all,
people value despair
but are afraid
of contentment
suffering is addictive
non-suffering is self-mastery
self-responsibility
and responsibility for all living beings
