when you find yourself stranded

in the depths of despair

or elevated to the heights of acclaim

remember that

the everlasting self

has no part in both

both are illusory

both are the dramas of the psyche

of which the ego is just a part

The thoughts you have now,

where do they come from?

the dreams you have now

what was their origin

the path that you have walked till now in life

what was your first step?

the secrets in your heart

and the impulse in your soul

where do they come from?

In the quiet moments of your life

sit and know the stillness

there,

your divinity

will bubble up to the surface

like a geyser from your innermost self

in times of anger, sadness and despair

there comes understanding

that lives deep within

the conflict and pollutions of your being.

You are eternal and everlasting

love and wisdom

you are every star and planet

lover, friend and foe

every broken thing and that which is mended too

you are the stitch and needle

the thread and the seam

always, here

ever, now

light and dark

beauteous

miracle

and simple

the smell of leaves on the wind

Have you in the still of night

gazed up into the stars?

Or listened to the sound of the sea?

Or heard the rush of birdsong in the early morning in a deep and wide forest?

Have you been into the depths of the earth where if you listen with your heart,

you can hear the Earth turning in space?

Have you heard the fury of an arguement in a neighbour’s house

or lover’s quarelling in the street

have you heard the words of love

that dwell in all of these?

Stop to hear the words, soft and quiet

on the highest mountain or on a busy road

in an airport or the swelling rolling sea

in the lonely times

and the overflowing

the words are spoken

there lives an everlasting  opportunity

sacred sound is all around us

in cacophany and silence

in anguish and in contentment

in every circumstance

sacred sound is in all sound

and is all sound

depending on how you

know the vibration at the core

of sound

when we are in pain

loss or gain

when our psyche loses its way

sacred sound

lives

awakening us

to go beyond

the humble voice calls the loudest

in the greatest din

and anger loses all its power

when faced with love

and inclusiveness

to know one self

you must know all your selves

and be guide between

the psyche and the soul

for both are trapped

by mortal design

and linger

to be found

wanting in the realms of anima or in the dimension of the divine

for consciousness is neither both and is beyond them too

the psyche the vehicle of illusion

the soul the transport from illusion

the true self

that dwells

within

your divided self

waits

until

your will

becomes

humble to the true will

that is love

it is inclusive of all things

it excludes none

and has countless faces

all brilliant full of grace

The earth holds secrets not to be shared

secrets need within the natural energetic world a place to dwell

they exist like gold or diamonds to enrich

the life force of the earth

unknown to humanity

We are all connected

but some scoff at this

just look at global media,TV and radio

news bounces around the world like a plague

we are all connected,

third world food grown for first world dinner tables

Champagne drunk in Shanghai

Kicking Horse Coffee in Moscow

Canadian Maple Syrup in Berlin

Gossip started in London finds its way to Ulan Bator

we are all connected

there is so many of us

that we can not isolate ourselves anymore

as nations, religions, beliefs or hurt or whole individuals

we harm each other by our individual separation

we breathe the same air, drink the same water

we need to be with each other in order to be our truest selves

and to stand in our own light

as our population grows so do we as individuals need to know the

responsibilities of interconnection and individuality

The rush and the panic that the world is feeling now

is ancient and terse, it has happened all before

in creating a belief in unsustainable prosperity

based on the desire to forget the past

people’s attitudes towards

prosperity  and belief in themselves

becomes unsustainable

commerce is the accomplice of humanity since people first had surplus

and it always has been unsustainable;

this is the lie of  superficial prosperity

prosperity is in how and what you feel and think

and from that what and how you live

prosperity is not wealth or money

it is not consumerism

economics or the ‘bottom line’

prosperity is being content with who you are

and from that with what you have

and knowing that what you have

is not who you are

everything comes

to show us

the path

to

love

and that

is the real currency of an enduring prosperity
