Christopher Hansard:[Crossroads]
The wisdom that you seek
is not to be found by searching
but by receiving
if you wish to know the truth that is true for you
sit at the crossroads that is within you
and wait
eventually you will see the truth approaching
and in that moment
you will know in which direction
you should travel
if you search for meaning it will run just out of your grasp
sit
be still
wait
be still enough
to know when truth
aproaches

Christopher Hansard:[ Fear]
The only real freedom is freedom from fear
fear comes to us in many disguises
seeking to seduce us into
the identity of anxiety, pain and suffering
as anger glues us to the repetition of unhappiness
so fear makes our world small
and so our minds shrink
we lose the capacity for thinking
for gaining inspiration
for rationality
for love
and for the tastes of consciousness
and the challenges of living
the only freedom is the freedom from fear
and when that freedom comes as light in our clouded states of being
the nature of suffering is understood
and falls away, discarded as an old skin
we, each of us, become shrouded in the mystery of transcendental beauty
the interaction of consciousness with form, body, mind and soul

Christopher Hansard:[Only Answers]
Holding silence in the heart
generates life force
generating life force
awakens connection
to all living things
and reveals the paradox of inequality
and shows you
the why and how of things
there are no questions to be asked
only answers
which exist as self-evident truths
in the
world of energy and manifestation

Christopher Hansard:[Fragile World]
judging others becomes
the judgement of oneself
the predilection towards hysteria
and the judgement of others
has become a fixation
in the same manner of
the worship of celebrity…
that which is within you
attracts the correspondence
of that which lives within the world
when you find yourself
in situations of which
you are made
to be detested,
despised and demonised
activate the capacity of love within you
and direct it out into the world
love your enemies enough
that they will embrace self-knowledge
and that your love for them will set them free
from their own mental traps
all of us upon the earth
share the same path
and we tread the same earth
we are all in the same breath
and our aspirations
are in the atmosphere
of our fragile world
fragile because we are fragile
the earth though is far stronger than us
it does not judge us
it only holds us
as we should hold each other

Christopher Hansard:[The Wind]
In the wind , if you listen you can hear the voices
seeking to cause the world harm
and the harm is contagious if you believe in it
evil is afoot and it finds its nest in anger,
anxiety and despair
listen to the wind
add your voice to it
speak on the wind
words of help, love and care
of respect
even in the most fearsome gale
words of love are found
in the epicentre
people seek the anger within them
and create it in their lives
speak on the wind
prayers of compassion
words of love
make room for forgiveness
so that all can be redeemed
saint and sinner too

Christopher Hansard:[Will]
To listen from the heart creates everlasting change
everlasting change comes about
by going beyond your daily self
to where the highest part of you
dwells complete,
liberated from the illusion of will
and the power of will
there are times when the power of will
is needed to overcome
but essentially there is a time
when that will must be surrendered
to the true will
the will of life as opposed to the will of the self
the psyche is a fragile chariot in which the
divine rides hidden in the coachwork
look into the everness of things
and you will
feel the truer will
defining its path

Christopher Hansard:[Light]
when there is darkness and the world seems far from you
when there is opposition and rumour
and those that you trusted betray you
offer up love and know
that in your heart
is a light, clear and brilliant
know that the light is always there
regardless of the time of day, opinions of others
or the harshness of the times in which we live
there is a great deal of hysteria running in the world,
people are becoming
caught up
in atavistic packs,
like packs of poodles turned to pit-bull terriers
but in a time the pack will lose its instinct
and return to the lap dog state,
mindless and panting…
a holy man i know was thrown into jail
for soothing the anxiety of victims of the chinese earthquake
by offering a prayer he offended the state
even in times of natural disaster prejudice holds greater sway
look to your heart
let the light blaze
be the love
that
dwells
within
offer it up to those that try to harm you
in the face of adversity
look it straight in the eyes
it will not be able to meet your gaze
look to the light that is within your heart
human, rational, transcendental
in every dimension
of your humaness
the light
shines

Christopher Hansard:[Change]
Change is everywhere, and in everything, and moves in the depths of all living beings
change can not be stopped, it can be diverted
but change finds a way to make itself function
it is the water of time, space and matter
flowing everywhere
if you embrace change you embrace time, space and matter
and they lose their restrictions and are no longer mysteries
butr opportunities for the expression of change

Christopher Hansard:[Sacredness and Respect]
The path to any form of happiness that is regarded with value
is that path which is held with sacredness and respect
sacredness is individual to each of us, what we regard as sacred is unique to us and so it is sacred
respect is individual to each of us, what we regard as respect is unique to us and so it is worthy of respect
sacredness and respect need no endorsement from any other person or institution
they are self-evident and everlasting, they exist as a state of consciousness and within the laws of matter

Christopher Hansard:[Judgement]
A wise woman once said
‘Do not point at another with one finger, lest another five point back at you’
We can not judge another
we can not condemn
we regard our opinions as truth
and there is no refuge in opinion
and there is no refuge in truth
facts are not truth
facts can be events
or the report of another’s comments
even observation is interpretation
all of us are bound by prejudice
…tomorrow is my last day on earth…
I have heard that said by strangers
there is no tomorrow
no yesterday, no here or there
no when or where
no them or us
all fear is a fear of ourselves
when we feel afraid so fear comes
when we are angry so anger comes
fear and anger
prowl
around in
our
antediluvian
senses
when we judge others
we end up becoming trapped
by the very judgements we have made
we end up living in a ghetto of hate and judgement
people make the judgement of others
that come from what already dwells within them
long after actions have faded words linger
words are thoughts and thoughts
are the building blocks of our social environment
they catch our emotions as if they were butterflies trapped
in the soft existential gauze of a butterfly net
judgement is glue of suffering
