Christopher Hansard:[When the Sunlight Falls]
When the sunlight falls upon the waves
carefree and glancing as they lap around the
last remains of a sky scraping tower
the young child from the little boat looks up with wondering eyes
‘who made these things?’ his mother catches his thoughts..
‘men who were like gods, men who fell to the earth and could not get up again’
the child wonders,sad thoughts
trawling a memory of what was once
another world, fingers trailing in water
as fish swirl around the little boat
as by thought it moves silently
across the great saltwater lake
deep in the refracted depths
white whales harvest the plankton
while a serrated moon
hangs tilted in the blue starred night
years pass the child now a man
goes past in a little boat
and his daughter wonders the very same as he once did
a hundred years go past
people pass by they do not see the ruins
they do not know what they are
the ruins
they have slipped
from memory and so they do not exist

Taking What is Not Yours
we live in a culture, where increasingly, people feel that they have the right to take what is not theirs
people are prompted by our global sterility to ‘take what is not yours’
people often do give what is not theirs to give as well,
we can not take revenge, retribution, steal or remove that which belongs to another
likewise we can not give what we have not been given or truly understand
consider what and when in your life, you have done both
will and desire are not the same as insight and passion

Theft
Those who steal, steal not just objects money or things
but create unknown harm and consequence,
they steal the emotions of others and can not replace them

Christopher Hansard:[Anger]
The world is full of it…
of anger,
anger is the rage and shame of having no power
anger too can take you to a place of change when it is truly right to be angry
but anger though is impulse, it is not a destination for each of us needs to
go beyond it, to leave its power behind and embrace the power of Love
anger seeks its own demise, its own transformation but can lose
its way to healing
look to the anger within you, see how it moulds your life
and how the anger of others influences your state of being ,
anger can be glamourous, even kind, anger can be generous and also blind
anger seeks its own destruction and understanding
it is the light of extreme dissatisfaction and the voice of fear

Christopher Hansard:[Beyond]
The world is an echo
of the earth
its fullness
makes all words
redundant
beyond knowing and unknowing
beyond You and I
beyond needing
and beyond
the mystery of understanding
the Earth is a point,
a drop
of eternal light
from which life made
and flows
to form
and gives
birth to the sleeping heart
in every human soul
in the far beyond of
becoming
and in the single flower of humanity
the everness of things
is to be found
and offered
to all
Humankind is a hedgerow bloom
which for a day is in full majesty
but remembered by the outline in the fragrant space
that is left behind
as each petal falls to make a new
world
we, each are much larger than the world we live within
a universe and a legend,
a metaphor and a myth
we are our creation story
waiting to be told
the miracle under the hedgerow

The Way of the I
I have walked in distant lands where
the Earth is but a star far and twinkling
I have walked in the deepest hells
where the human heart is but a star far and twinkling
I have walked in the highest heavens
and seen the subtle curses of Bliss and Illumination
I have walked in the deepest caverns of the human species
and was midwife to the birth of the human soul
I have walked in the highest mountaintops of time and in the darkest parts of space
and have seen the ressurection of love where love had been forgot
I have been in your deepest self and in your waking dreams
I have walked the earth when it was still been made
and in fires and vapours there
I prayed to the I within all that I had seen
and thus the I awoke and became
the great I of the living and waking dream
In the deepest hell and the highest heaven
the I goes walking
bringing love to those ascending and those who are falling
In the great I of the soul’s remaking,
the thunder rumbles and brings the creation and casts it out
across all worlds, so that they may become, and be,
and be made again on their journey
to walk
as I have walked
the way of in-between

Christopher Hansard:[ Thankfulness]
Seeking, trying to find meaning, healing, loving, having a perfect life
comsuming, been Green and kinder, softer but blinder
in a rush but not knowing why, seeking , sensing, desiring
finding connection, establishing foundations
settling down.. these are some of the demands of the modern world
but they are not a modern life,
life makes its own path,
society creates false visions of it
life is complete in itself
if you can pause, and lowering your defenses
stop to receive the immensity of it
life offers us all that we need
not what we should consume
economic theories have infiltrated the beliefs of personality and identity
money and ethics have become intertwined
yet a flower or a raindrop, a mountain or a weed
they are complete in themselves and are nothing more than what they are
and yet by been just themselves, link one to the other
pause to receive life’s immensity and fecund gifts
then you will discover that when things are brought back to basics
they all come down to thankfulnessÂ

Touching the Ever Present Path
Touching the Ever Present Path
will bring you to your Self,
the path is found not in what you do or are
but in the patterns that have
inscribed themselves upon your heart,
each mark and flexion
create wisdom and direction
give fuel for building up your potential soul
the ever present path
is within your grasp
it is made by your beating heart
each beat, a spark that burns the way
into your dreams and needs
and if you can listen to the brilliance glisten
the ever present path will
call you to walk its way
and when doing so
on that day
you
will
lose
all fear
and
the need
to pray
for being
will be
and the light
your soul
will flare
and burn
so brightly there
the flames within
touching
the ever
present
path

Christopher Hansard:[Love is Within Us]
ONE:
Wisdom has a sadness of its own, pensive like a cello playing in a soft snow fall
Compassion holds a knowingness that looks into all things with an unblinking eye
Anger seeks to include everyone in its rage of ignorance and self-defeat,
Greed seeks solace in having all it can to bury the oncoming fear
Lust craves a chance at halting mortality and believes in the tempoary as real
Illumination lights only what needs to be illuminated for the awakening of the Self happens in the dark
Loss and learning go together, and love and liberation are good friends.
TWO:
Love was within us before we came and went, love was in the first cosmic form
and fell in the first rainfall, love was within us and will be when we forget that we once dwelt
upon the Earth, love was within the first rising spark of Wisdom and the clear sight of Compassion
and Love took the journey willingly into the dark matter and confusion of the temporal world in order
to evolve back to its own recognition again.
THREE:
The human race is a pathway in which Love plies its course,
a river that flows through time and space
creating diversity and matter, consciousness and place,
perception and awakening and the nature of living light
Love has made the chance for Life
when it embraced itself openly with Light,
for Love and Life make Light and from that all things are:
for in Light, Consciousness takes form
shrouding Love’s constant breath
and in that come the two eternal seasons, mortal life and mortal death
two great teachings of Love and Light
by which the Cosmos and Consciousness descend and create form

Christopher Hansard:[Fire in the Sky, Bright Flowers to Bloom]
Fire in the sky
Smoke on the ground
Last man standing defending the land
washed out oceans, quiet blow the wind
victory screams across the earth, like drunken angels
hungry ghosts in human form proclaim a new dawn of freedom
inspired by the cult of war
they have put Life in a museum and locked the door
even atheists are thrown in prison for believing in not believing
Fire in the sky
Smoke on the ground
Last man standing defending the land
without knowing why
there is a war and is to be found in guns and conflict, in religion and philosophy too
in economics and media and in the breakfast you have every day
Fire in the Sky, Smoke on the Ground
The Last Man standing has decided to lay his arms, hate and ignorance down
up come the weeds , with small bright flowers to bloom and call everyone
to remember how soon what we hold dear can be taken away
