Enemy?Christopher Hansard:[If you have an enemy wish that enemy self-knowledge]
If you have an enemy wish that enemy self-knowledge.
If you have an enemy wish them well-being, compassion and good fortune.
If you have an enemy do not engage in the activities of the enemy.
If you have an enemy regard that as an opportunity for self-development and change.
If you have an enemy look at your everyday self, for that is who the enemy is.
When you are oppressed, attacked or placed in challenging situations, love those who do these things, not because you are fearful or you can do nothing else, but because it is essentially in accordance with life. No one can take away the love for life and all the living beings within its structures, forms and functions.
Let those who are choosing to be your enemies or enemy stand in their own choice, for that is what it is, as for your choice, love and be silent.
Time erodes the activities of enemies but recycles the patterns of revenge, time supports the offering of well-being and can not influence the generation of compassion.
There is no enemy, in the essence of things, as there is no conflict save for the everyday mind that seeks suffering as its drug to give it fleeting satisfaction.
