The Heart

We go out into the world, our bodies strong,

our minds inquisitive but our hearts undeveloped,

even the wisest needs the training of the heart,

but where can such education be found?

In everything that the World has to offer

and in all things that Nature is.

The heart is the only great adventure in the course of a human life

and when our hearts are not woken from their dosing inclinations

our souls fall asleep

Wake your heart and Life wakes too

Every moment is a new day

Christopher Hansard:[Love]

Love is a word that people do not understand, it is a word that does not describe a thing, but intimates a process, a force so profound and challenging that people seek to make it comfortable and make it smaller than it really is.

Do you love your friends? Your family? That special person in your life? Your children?

Your pets? Your car, your things? Your quality of  life, ideals, beliefs..?

Would you love your enemies, those that seek you harm? Could you love them as much as your family, friends and that special person?

Love is for everyone regardless of what they may seek to do to us, for love is the glue of humanity and without love our humanity evaporates, erodes and we die as a species, as an idea, as a force for good,

there is a dream within us all that love will find a way, the dream is the voice of love calling us to not be afraid of love and all it has to say.

Love seeks itself and loves through us, we are part of its journey

Love is the language of being and force behind matter, it is quark and quantum,

the dark matter and the heavy, the exponential and the relative, it is the slow wave that that holds up the fast, love is every single one of us

love is what we are here to become and takes on countless faces

love is and was, shall be and can be, love is at home with itself

love is accepting what is, what was and what will not be

There’s No Good Day?

There’s no good day for dying or a time for crying, its just the wheel on which we stand?

There’s no good day for regrets or a time for saying sorry, or trying to make amends?

There’s no good day for unhappiness or celebration?

There’s no good day for remorse or for awakening?

There is no good day because every day,

every moment, every time is a good day

for a day is an opportunity and there is no good or bad days

just misunderstood not seen days

when opportunities for understanding are missed

yet like seasons, opportunities always come around again

we just need to know them when they do

There are no good days? Take a day from your life, say the worst day and in your moment of despair

if you enter there, what did you find? A sense of stillness? A knowingness? A moment slowing down?

There are no good days for dying, or a time for crying, it’s just the wheel on which we stand,

but do you know you can make the wheel stop and spin, return again to where you’ve been

to know and learn again, there is no good day, for every day and time is good

for like a violin and a mandolin playing together, a lover far away or a lover too close to touch

all days are good days, when the world comes to an end,

it will be a good day for in another world

someone will be making breakfast and wondering if it will be a good day

I have seen the destitute say its a good day, and the violated

and the ruined too say that it is a good day

You are made of your days, let every day be a good day

Do You Know Where Your Thoughts Go To?

Every thought you have had, every single one, where do they go to once you no longer think them? A trace is left behind in you that adds a  strand to your nature, being and personality.

The majority of every thought ends been absorbed by everyone else , yes everyone else is affected by how and what you think, it is our habit to not always be aware of what and how we think, but it  can be our nature to become aware of every thought and its influences upon our selves and others

What You Write or Speak

What we write or speak creates great effects and influence and comes back to us.

We in this modern time have lost connection to the responsibility of what we write and speak, for in a time of instant media, our connection to this has been depersonalised,

Instant media has eroded the perception we have of the consequences of what we write or say,

eventually the consequences will return to us alone

in this confusing time it is vital to bring gentleness, kindness and healing

to everything we feel, think, do , write or speak

whether it be a shopping list, an e-mail or a quick note,

a casual conversation or a meaningful dialogue

do you stop to consider the effect and outcome of

What you write or speak?

Christopher Hansard:[Time and Memory]

Time and Memory are joined together by how we recall all that has happened..

The future comes from remembering and Time is the child of what we recalled to be true.

Time and Memory pass, quickly, slowly, hardly at all, or so it seems,

not fixed in any one point..or place..only people mark our memories,

either ourselves, a stranger, or ones we dared to love..

the family and our friends, colours in Time and Memory

how do you make your memories?

How your memories affect the way you experience Time by the quality of your thoughts?

Remember the wind in the tall Pines, or the sea on the beach, seagulls on a rainy day?

The smell of coffee in a rainburst? Thunder and sunshine, A Spring day?

The first recollection of who you might be? A face, a time, a place.

Time and Memory are entwined, understand one you understand the other.

They are perceptual pathways to the miracle of Life and humanity.

All of us, every single human being, alive, being born, or in death, or dust

Remembered by Time and Memory , are all markers on the journey to our selves.

Time and Memory, Time and Memory, tides of the human pulse.

Christopher Hansard:[Sadness]

When you feel Sad what is it that you truly feel? Overwhelmed?

Isolated? Misunderstood? Unsafe? Angry? Trapped by your own patterns, belief

and behaviour? Sadness is the indication of how our thoughts etch away the transience of things within our minds and within our lives.

Sadness is like a wind, warm, cold, temperate, it carries perfume, noise, memories, the smells of the world, voices from the distance

What can we learn from Sadness? That all things change, and that sadness too

only comes for a while and when its lesson is learnt, it moves on.

Whenever sadness comes to you, do not pull back, sit with it and give thanks

for in doing so, sadness releases the joy that sits within.

It Can Not Be Overcome

It, can not be overcome, strangled, suppressed or destroyed or covered up for long.

The spark, the pulse, the impetus, what some call Magic,

others God, Chance, Coincidence or Fate..

it comes to call us and remind us of the way we walk,

Spirit through Matter,

Soul through  Earth,

Mind through Body,

Heart through Experience,

Some are called by It and It tells them of  Itself,

some are scared and run away from It,

others take It and turn the words into legends,

People search for It and It stands behind them waiting for them to turn around

It  can not be overcome by guns or violence, or seduced by cash and policies of a better world, it can  not be found in learned books or in the latest science, but is often seen

sitting by the rivers of the world or in the eyes of children ,old and young

in quiet holy places where no people come,

in a moment of heart breaking reflection as you shed your skins,

It can not be overcome, but only welcomed

When people search for meaning, for pleasure or for power

They search for It and It is always wanting to be found.

Walk in crowds, in the pressing throng

there It is ..

everywhere is It

Christopher Hansard:[ Listening]

The world is full of sound, and noise, clatter and confusion, a clumsy copy of the sounds of the Natural Cycle which infuse the Earth with sound.

The World can be overwhelming as can Nature if we do not listen.

You may think that there is much in the World

and in Nature that you do not want to listen to

but in all that there is, you can find answers by listening to all that rumbles and

ruminates in our planet.

Take some time, say an hour from your week

and sit to listen and as you do, a new World and new Earth

will reveal themselves to you

Listening is an act of creation and in listening truth is found.

What is Your Myth?

Each of us are born with a myth inside of us.

This myth is the story not of who we were, are or shall be

but of where we have come from and why we are here.

To know this myth and to learn its lesson go to the hour, day and moment of your brth

and ask yourself, what did you feel, what did you know,

what did you forget as your head felt the fluttering of the world?

Did you feel this knowing drain from you?

The myth is there within waiting to be discovered.

Ask your self to tell you the story and the origins of You
