Christopher Hansard:[Opinions are not Facts]
Opinions are not facts
but because we hold opinions
we think to be true
we make them into beliefs
beliefs are not facts
they are statements of faith
faith is not fact
it is a subjective belief about your place in the world
the world of mankind
is built on opinions, beliefs and faith
and this all adds to the confusion

Christopher Hansard:[ The Real Thing]
The summation of
all of mankind’s
acheivements
can be found
in
the way
a child
understands
the world
and contributes to it
and when an adult on the deathbed
can understand why life was the way it was
and move on
in the river
there floated human excrement
a shoe and an empty bottle
that once contained
‘the real thing’
the real thing
is sought after
it is not that people
seek a greener pasture
they unconsciously
want to sow the seeds
themselves and cut the sprouting growth
by their will

Christopher Hansard:[ Fifth Avenue]
the wind blows
snow falls
here in the mountains
wild memories
from the stone
the passing footsteps
of the ancient ones
are found in the
rush
of
Fifth Avenue
wisdom is like water
it permeates
everywhere
like a virus for evolution
it lies hidden
in ignorance

Christopher Hansard:[ psychonauts]
looking towards the light
where does your shadow fall?
behind you?
within you?
in front of your feet?
in other people?
our shadow seeks the light
its a reminder of the voyage
we make
all of us
psychonauts
in search
of a golden fleece

Christopher Hansard:[Patterns]
Taking the time to be mindful
on how you think
and what you feel
brings the chance
to know
the freedom
that dwells
within
the patterns
of mind and body

Christopher Hansard:[ Society]
Society is not what it seems when you look at its fabric. We are told it either resilient or frayed at the seams, that the end of the world is soon or has happened , or that the world will not end, society is the field where history and economics ply their force and thus people react fearfully to both prolonging the pattern.
Society is made up of people who do not know who they are and know less than their Grandparents did about the world. In an information rich world, society is apparently richer for the information garnered, but yet individuals are information poor. We become dependent on information that is made apparent by its ease, yet what does it do for who we truly are?
It is the absence of such dependency that we gain individual ascendency in the world of our emotions, thoughts and actions.

Christopher Hansard:[Big Questions?]
Imagination
dwells
in the
heart
of
all
things
as
does
understanding
there
are no big questions
only timely answers
to discover is to receive
to know is to be
to live is to be free of identification

Christopher Hansard:[ Autumn and Fall]
Autumn comes
some call it Fall
leaves expire
giving air to the wind
slowly fall the feathers of birds
transmigrating from this horizon to the next unseen bough
of blessedness

Christopher Hansard:[ Come and Go]
seasons
come
and go
just like memories
only the
trace
is left
behind
the lure of the past
