Christopher Hansard:[Judgement]
A wise woman once said
‘Do not point at another with one finger, lest another five point back at you’
We can not judge another
we can not condemn
we regard our opinions as truth
and there is no refuge in opinion
and there is no refuge in truth
facts are not truth
facts can be events
or the report of another’s comments
even observation is interpretation
all of us are bound by prejudice
…tomorrow is my last day on earth…
I have heard that said by strangers
there is no tomorrow
no yesterday, no here or there
no when or where
no them or us
all fear is a fear of ourselves
when we feel afraid so fear comes
when we are angry so anger comes
fear and anger
prowl
around in
our
antediluvian
senses
when we judge others
we end up becoming trapped
by the very judgements we have made
we end up living in a ghetto of hate and judgement
people make the judgement of others
that come from what already dwells within them
long after actions have faded words linger
words are thoughts and thoughts
are the building blocks of our social environment
they catch our emotions as if they were butterflies trapped
in the soft existential gauze of a butterfly net
judgement is glue of suffering
