Cast Down Your Fear

There will come a time

when you will have to throw your fear away

cast it to the ground

for the fear you hold

you will discover

is not yours to own

but was passed on to you

as a virus by the

clamouring world

throw your fear away

and you will find that

what is left behind

is beauty and the road of beauty

on which you will walk

on that day  the sun will set and rise in the same breath

and moonlight will glimmer around you

as a halo of hope

and all the stars

will bedeck you as a mantle

the gift of time and space

the spark of universality

in the human race

so cast down your fear

throw it to the ground

give it up

it is not yours

stand in strength

look to love

let your hands

be instruments of trust

your voice the teller

of the everlasting myth

and your body

the sacred dwelling place

of

life-affirming bliss
