Softly come The Hands of Wisdom
Softly come the hands of Wisdom, folded in the rain
held in response the eternal in the touch
rain drops everyone a song, a note that hangs
sounding out a harmonic tone
softly comes the hands of wisdom, caressing trees with wind
lifting oceans to the turning clouds a spiraling down
bring ancient voices to the modern man and woman
every epoch of human life lives suspended in the whole
for I have seen from ancient hills the tuurning world of man
and the humble hands of Life, softly come the hands of wisdom
in the natural way, from skylark to distant breezes
from snowfall to the newborn heart
all conceived in the hands of wisdom
expressed in the touch of Love
Softly come the hands of wisdom
Pause to embrace their touch, for in the hidden is the ordinary
in the sublime the simple path
where we wake from dreaming to the open heart
softly, come the hands of wisdom
