What Do You Believe?

What do you believe? What are the beliefs that you hold as the glue that helps you stick the daily world together and the complexity of your life. I do not just mean the spiritual or religious beliefs, but the beliefs that make up your personality that others know you by and as, and that personality that you believe yourself to be. What are they?

Can you ask yourself that question? People like to define themselves with easy beliefs, like, I am a Christian, a Jew , a Muslim, a Hindu, a Communist, a Conservative, a Liberal, a Scientist, an Artist , an Atheist, an Agnostic, a lover of Chocolate..these are beliefs but they do not say who you are deep within your being.

They are the outward appearances of a deeper self.

All of the above beliefs are a spiritual path towards becoming more human.

Even the job you have, or whatever your current situation, that too is a belief and a path towards meaning, and like everything, they will pass and fade away as you experience the eternal within the human experience.

What do you believe under all of this?

What fundamental beliefs tick away unconsciously since you were conceived, grew in your Mother’s womb and were born and grew until who you are now?

There are two kinds of belief.. the first acts as a cover up so we all can live in the world and function in relative levels of effective unconsciousness.

The second, is the belief that gives us direct experience of everything challenging our understanding of who and what we are and thus transcends belief into experience, which then needs no description but only expression.

What do you believe? Once you know, you will be truly yourself and the world will fall in love with your deepest being and you will walk the path unique to yourself but common with others in that your expression will be full of kindness, love and humanity in simple ways that show to others the divine beauty of living each day for itself.
